Olive Oil Tour - Visiting programme

The olive grove: Information on local olive-growing, regarding local varieties of olive trees and farming.
- The olive oil production: A visit to two types of olive mills, a traditional one and a modern one (working from the second half of October till the beginning of December) with information on techniques of olive working, of oil bottling and storage.
- Olive oil culture and appreciation: Information on oil components and organoleptic characteristics: analysis of oil colour, smell and taste. Professional tasting of two or more different kinds of olive oils guided by an expert; explanations regarding tasting ways and conditions and olive vocabulary.
- Gastronomic test: Tasting of olive oil products of the oil mill with extra virgin olive oil together with local wines.
- Opportunity of buying the tasted products: at the Bottega Del Frantoio near the olive oil mill.
