Welcoming the visitors: a little story telling about the Bonamini
olive oil factory, its territory and its crops.
Let's start with:
- the
olive grove:
information on the local olive-growing, regarding local varieties of olive
trees and farming.
- the
olive oil production: a visit to two types of olive mills, a traditional one and a modern
one (working from the second half of October till the beginning of
December) with information on techniques of olive working, of olive oil
bottling and storage.
- learning
about olive oil:
information on the olive oil components and its organoleptic
characteristics: analysis of the olive oil colour, smell and taste. Professional
tasting of two or more different olive oils guided by an expert;
explanations regarding tasting ways and conditions and olive oil
vocabulary.
- Gastronomic
moment:
tasting of different products with extravirgin olive oil or olives,
produced by Bonamini olive oil factory.
- Ending
with: opportunity
of purchasing the tasted products at the Bottega Del Frantoio.
